2013 Honda cb500x
After a lengthy search, and a lot of test-riding, Chris purchased his used 2013 Honda CB500X in the spring of 2019. Having been stored in a garage, never been taken off-road, and barely ridden 2,000 miles, this beauty was in immaculate condition. From her sleek black styling to her confident attitude, she practically named herself. “Trinity” she is…an homage to the powerful heroine in one of Chris’ favorite sci-fi movies, The Matrix.

2011 DL650 Vstrom
The initial search for a motorcycle took Jason down a familiar path. Maybe he wanted something older that he could re-learn to ride, learn to work on, something that was comfortable, something that had just enough excitement for a 50 year old, but not enough to break a hip on.
Nope. That didn’t happen. The V-Strom DL650 happened. It’s the go-almost-anywhere, morph-into-almost-anything motorcycle that most of the keyboard reviewers and YouTube short film makers said was the bike to get…Jason just didn’t know it yet.
Cut to October 2019. Jason found a 2011 with only 10,500 miles, all the basic extras including Givi luggage and windshield and crash bars and mini skid plate and, and, and…ok, fine…sold.
Meet Zebra.
Now to learn how to ride it by being convinced to ride the TAT a few months later. #seemeinactiononyoutube

2018 Honda Africa Twin
“Max” was purchased specifically with the dream of completing the Trans-America Trail in mind! Named after the rugged go-anywhere do-anything beasts of the Mad Max movie franchise, this blacked-out Honda CRF1000 Africa Twin with DCT transmission was perfectly suited for the job. With a tall suspension to fit Steve’s giant frame, a bullet-proof engine, and equal footing on and off the road, all she needed was a few modifications to make her perfect for the challenging terrain ahead!
