Born into a military family meant moving around a lot. Apparently that momentum lasted all the way until high school as Jason’s parents became the Preacher/Teacher power couple. After high school, Jason joined the Army reserves, missing the Iraq war by the luck of the draw. East Carolina University had him for a time. That’s when he found his first motorcycle…a 1986 Yamaha Radian. Or did the Radian find him? After college and after selling his third bike, Jason found his calling in television. At the ripe old age of 29 he became the director for a local news station. Since then he has gone on to direct or administrate in multiple TV stations. This was also the era in which he honed his skills in front of the computer and became the prolific video editor that he is. Somehow he found time in there to design and oversee a 2 million dollar robotic broadcast studio. The TV industry also led Jason to find his wife, Erica, a broadcast promotions professional. After leaving the world of broadcast journalism, Jason and Erica started multiple businesses including EB Fitness, a personal fitness success story, and Docent Prodigy, one of Charleston’s most sought after commercial photography and video production companies. In October of 2019, Jason found time to take up motorcycling again after a 30 year hiatus. In 2020, he partnered with Chris to launch Moto Photo Adventures, editing and producing the travel series from his solo motorcycle trip through Mexico. Next his friends talked him into riding across the entire country…the hard way. Enjoy watching Jason learn how to ride again ON the Trans-America Trail and beyond. It’s probably not the wisest move on his part… but as we can tell from his incredible career, Jason is a quick study and a go-getter! ?
